Biography
Gaël Corna, aka Insane Puppy, is a Gen Xer, a child of television and technology. Born in Toulouse, he spent his youth moving from place to place with his family, never truly forming solid roots. He found refuge in music—pop at first, with the rise of British New Wave like Eurythmics and emerging mega-stars like Madonna, Prince, and Michael Jackson, but also in the works of electronic pioneers such as Kraftwerk, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Brian Eno, and the Cocteau Twins. His attraction to female voices led him to Maria Callas, discovered during a boring winter, which opened the doors to opera and the world of classical music.
He began singing as a tenor in a small Baroque ensemble, teaching himself music theory, harmony, and composition. With the rise of DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) technology, he quickly moved toward songwriting in various styles. After a few unsuccessful attempts and the chaos of life, he returned to his first passion: software engineering.
Fifteen years later, following a chance conversation on gay dating apps, he dug out old demos to rework them with modern tools and the assistance of emerging AI.
The world has changed; the music industry has mutated. Now is the time to offer his vision of homosexuality in 2026, with electro-pop flavors and sincere lyrics.
